Quote of the Week- September 25, 2011

This above all, to thine own self be true.
- William Shakespeare

I walk. I listen. I learn. Each passing day I learn something greater concerning myself. Is it not strange that we are born into this world without knowing who we really are? From the day we open our eyelids to see are parents smiling above us, we are plunged into a world of uncertainty of what is right and what is wrong. "This above all, to thine own self be true." How can one do this if they do not even know who they are? Life is a journey, a story. With each passing page we learn a little more about the being inside of us. Sometimes the parts that we find are dirty, like unwashed cups, and either wish to clean them or cast them out from our lives. I can tell you truly that one person alone cannot cast the dirty part of themselves out or clean it completely. There is always a stain on the inside or a part of the cup that we cannot hope to throw away. Remember the things that you learn on the journey of your life. What you say and do defines who you are to other people. However, do not let that fact rule you. Work in your own heart the things that you believe. Find the stains. Find help. One cannot complete the journey alone.
