Today my mother and I engaged in a very interesting conversation. What if the Code of Hammarabi, which is based on the concept of "an eye for an eye", applied to household rules. Here are some examples.
- Fold the laundry or you will be folded
- Vacuum the floor or you will be used as the floor
- Clean up your own mess or you will be messed up
- Put your dirty cloths in the hamper or you will be put in the hamper
- Eat everything on your plate or you will be eaten.
Now aren't you glad that your parents don't follow those rules? We as troublesome children wouldn't last very long.
