No one has ever become poor by giving.
- Anne Frank
- Anne Frank
I believe that this quote is meant in a figurative sense, but it is also carries a very important message. If you think about it in terms of money, then you know that if you gave someone one million dollars a day then you would probably become poor pretty fast. However, do the rich know the satisfaction that giving brings? If anything they are the poor ones because that do not know such joy. Therefore, those who give to others are the ones who feel that joy and they are the ones who are truly rich.
If you would like to read more about Anne Frank, her diary is the perfect place to start.
The Diary of Anne Frank is about a young Jewish girl who goes into hiding with her family during world war two. The story follows her life living in the "secret annex" with other families, as they hide for their lives. The ending is quite sad, but inspiring at the same time. It reminds oneself of what the horrors of World War II brought and how they must never happen again. You see Anne grow from a young girl to a young lady and yet the memories that are written down shall never be spoken by her lips. If you are interested in real life accounts of World War II, then this is the book for you.
